Beef Brisket Recipe

This quick and easy beef brisket recipe is the perfect Sunday afternoon companion. Most beef brisket recipes are slow-cooked, which in my opinion dries the beef brisket meat out and changes the stage of the doneness of the brisket to well done. The secret to our beef brisket recipe lies in the overnight beef seasoning.

Our beef brisket recipe cuts the cooking time in half, resulting in perfectly cooked, tender beef brisket. The braising liquid we use also helps to tenderize the meat and adds to the flavor and the end result is amazing.

We are happy you are here and thanks for visiting our brief brisket recipe web page. Please tell us what you think of this recipe. You can also take a snapshot and tag us on Instagram @cookingcatdotcom.

Thanks and happy beef brisket cooking.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rub the beef brisket generously all over with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Place the beef brisket in a container with a lid, and to the refrigerator. Leave overnight.
  2. Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F).
  3. Melt the butter over medium heat in a frying pan. Add the onion and salt. Cook and stir until the onions are soft and glossy. Stir in the garlic, rosemary, and apple juice. Increase heat to a simmer and cook until reduced.
  4. Pour half of the reduced mixture into a baking dish. Place the beef brisket fat-side up on top. Cover with the remaining reduced mixture, and cover the baking dish with foil.
  5. Cook in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 120°C (250°F) and cook for a further 30 minutes.
  6. Transfer the leftover juices from the baking dish to a blender and blend into a gravy. You can skim off the fat from the top first if you prefer.
  7. Slice the brisket across the grain and serve with the gravy. Enjoy!
