Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake Recipe
I love this quick and easy microwave chocolate mug cake recipe. I remember visiting my wife at the restaurant she worked for. It was a busy day for her at work and the guest house was packed with overnight visitors.
The guest house was situated on a remote farm and quite a distance from the nearest town. The stove they used was powered by gas and the farm manager neglected to refill the gas bottles. She was faced with a dilemma and had to think off her feet. I helped her search for an easy mug cake recipe and we found this microwave chocolate mug cake recipe. She changed the ingredients to what she had available and a new tastier version of a mug cake recipe was born.
The guests totally loved the chocolate mug cake and she shared her recipe all around. I finally found it written down on a piece of paper and lodges between the pages of her favorite cookbook. Lucky me.
Another thing that I really enjoy about this microwave nug cake is that you do not need eggs to prepare it.

- Divide the dry ingredients evenly among two large microwave-proof mugs
- Stir in the milk, water, Canola oil, and vanilla extract
- Microwave on full power for 2 minutes, or until the chocolate cake is done in the middle. Test with a skewer. Serve hot or cold.
