Ostrich Fillet With Feta Sauce Recipe

This ostrich fillet with feta sauce recipe is our traditional family Valentine's Day Meal. The recipe is easy to prepare and we alter turns to make it. The secret ingredient for this ostrich fillet recipe is the feta sauce. I cannot find the words to describe the taste and flavours it brings to the ostrich fillet. The only word I can think of is delicious.

We use plain feta cheese in our ostrich fillet with feta sauce recipe but have also tried flavoured feta cheese. The only other flavour, than plain feta, that works well for me is the pepper flavoured feta cheese.

One thing I like most about this ostrich fillet recipe is you can use the leftover meat in this healthy ostrich fillet salad with chia seeds recipe..

This ostrich fillet with feta cheese recipe is quick and easy to prepare. It is perfect as a come home late snack, but we found that it works best on special occasions, like Valentine's day. Fillet has become so expensive that we only choose to eat the meat on special occasions.

As for the recipe, we normally use 500 g ostrich fillet steak, but we doubled all the ingredients to suit a small family

We usually eat this ostrich fillet with feta cheese with an avocado garden salad and potato wedges. It works well with couscous and only fries.

If you have tried our ostrich fillet with feta cheese recipe, we would love to know what you think of it. Please share your thoughts and tell us what you think.

PS Happy Valentine's Day and enjoy this recipe.

My husband and I are huge fans of venison and have tried ostrich meat before. All ostrich cuts are tender and healthy. We have a few ostrich fillet pieces saved up in our freezer and will surely give this ostrich fillet recipe a go. Sounds too good not to try. 5.00

I really want to try this ostrich fillet recipe. Where can I buy ostrich fillet from in South Africa? We will be visiting soon and I have to try this recipe. We are staying over in a self-catering cottage and will be able to do the cooking. Looking forward to it! 5.00

Hi Eliza, good to know you are coming our way. You can buy ostrich from most supermarkets in South Africa, as well as from many local butchers. Please also have a look at this link.
