This easy pasta salad recipe is the perfect side dish for any cooked meal. it is quick to put together and compliments a variety of warm dishes. The great thing about this pasta recipe is that it works well in any season and the ingredients are available all year round.

This versatile pasta recipe can easily be adapted for taste or appearance by changing the type of pasta used. We used tricolor pasta to improve the visual characteristics of the pasta salad because many of our recipes get published in magazines and other prints. In fact, any other type of pasta can be used and we also know screw noodles work very well.

We know from experience that children love this pasta salad. It is a great way to get young children to eat pasta, salad, and other vegetables. The greens and vegetables are well disguised within the pasta salad and the salad dressing adds the final touches of blending well with the vegetables and greens.

Directions

  1. Cook the tricolor pasta until al dente in salted water, drain under cold water
  2. Pour the cooked pasta into a large bowl and add broccoli, tomatoes, bell pepper, olives, cucumber, carrots, red onion, and parmesan
  3. Sprinkle over the Italian salad dressing and toss to coat evenly
  4. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
