Pork Spareribs Recipe

This quick and easy tender pork spare ribs recipe has been in our family for longer than I can remember. We alter the preparation method but have found that baking the pork spare ribs in the oven has the best results. We also take turns preparing this traditional pork spareribs recipe.

The secret ingredient in this pork spareribs recipe is sherry. I own the original copy of my grandma's recipe book, in her own handwriting, and have found that many of the recipes include sherry.

Cooking with sherry can enhance the flavor of a dish. The alcohol evaporates when heated, leaving the flavor to seep into foods like stews, sauces, and meat dishes.

The marinade used for this recipe also makes the port spareribs tender

I have also noticed that many people cook spareribs first, before grilling the spareribs. There is no need to cook the spareribs first with this recipe, the secret lies in the marinade, which includes the sherry. You will be surprised at how tender the pork meat becomes, grilled, not pre-cooked.

Besides being grilled in the oven, the pork spareribs can also be barbecued, braaied, over the coals.
