Bread Stuffing Recipe

This classic traditional bread stuffing recipe is one of two favourites my family use to stuff turkey or chicken during thanksgiving. We all agree this is the best bread stuffing and prefer it over the sausage cornbread stuffing variation. What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas than the traditional way? Even the kids agree.

Talk about kids. They love helping out in the kitchen and this bread stuffing recipe is a good way to get them involved and get their hands yucky dirty and the onions make their eyes watery.

This classic bread stuffing has our attention and it is classic with stuffing with sage and onion and all the other traditional classic bread stuffing ingredients. It is a good time to get the kids involved after you have added all the ingredients to a mixing bowl. Get the to do the mixing by hand and take a video or a photo and share it. Beautiful memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Once completed, the bread stuffing is sufficient to stuff a turkey, a chicken, or a leg of lamb.

We hope you enjoy this classic bread stuffing recipe. Please let us know what you think.

Eds Note: You do not need to blanch the onions, you can use raw onion instead. Blanching stops enzyme actions which otherwise cause loss of flavor, color and texture. In addition, blanching removes some surface dirt and microorganisms, brightens color, and helps slow vitamin losses
